Guns at the bar

Imagine a world where the late night bar hoppers and the drunk find the perfect place to have a gun fight, the bar. Just like in the old days you will soon be able to carry your pistol to your favorite bar in Tennessee with a permit! Yes that is right gun toters may find a new place to call home after 11pm. Makes you wonder how bad of an idea this is!

A very quick search shows that permit holders rarely or never cause trouble. In VA, you can't find an instance in which a permitted carrier started trouble - well there is one case in all these years depending on how you interpret the details. A much greater danger lies in those states requiring concealed handgun carriers to leave their guns, unattended in cars while they eat in an establishment that serves alcohol. The guns can be stolen and end up in criminal hands. The owner is forced to walk and park unprotected. Remember, most carriers have very good reasons for needing protection.
